We have an excellent opportunity to support RN practice throughout Minnesota and across our borders.The Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) has been introduced in Minnesota as bills HF 3848/SF3305. The Senate bill was heard in the Senate Health and Human Services Finance and Policy Committee and was laid over for the finance committee to review.
The week of March 26th the bill will be heard in several committees in the House.
Please contact your state Representative as well as members of the House Health Human Services Committee, House Civil Law and Data Practices Committee and the House Governmental Operations Committee
The compact will help nurses (such as telehealth nurses and nurse case managers) who practice in multiple states as a part of their nursing practice. If Minnesota joins the compact they will no longer be burdened with holding multiple state licenses. The compact safeguards patients by assuring that nurses who have had license restrictions one state cannot hold a multistate license. Facts about the compact:
