The Senate is poised to potentially vote in the coming days on new legislation to repeal and replace parts of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The bill sponsors, Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Dean Heller (R-NV) and Ron Johnson (R-WI), are attempting to close in on the needed 51 votes for passage before budget reconciliation instructions expire on Sept. 30. After Sept. 30, the bill would need 60 votes for passage under regular Senate rules.
Please urgeyour senators, particularly Republicans, to protect health coverage and oppose the Graham-Cassidy-Heller-Johnson bill.
While the Congressional Budget Office has not scored the bill yet, coverage for millions of Americans could be at risk. We will continueto urge senators to work in a bipartisan manner to address the challenges facing our health care system.
